A Very Merry Christmas Day

15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. Luke 2:15-20

By the time you read this, I will have casseroles bubbling and music playing while I watch the driveway for the arrival of our children and grandchildren. It is always a good day when I can lay my eyes on these people I love so much. THEY are my presents.

I pray that all of you will have a blessed day. Even if your people can't gather today, maybe it won't be long. I'm so thankful for the Covid vaccines and can't wait to get my shots, but in the meantime, I choose to be grateful today for the gift of God's Son.

My 2 favorite Christmas songs this year:

"Joy to the world! The Lord is come

Let earth receive her King!

Let every heart prepare Him room

And heaven and nature sing

And heaven and nature sing

And heaven, and heaven and nature sing." (Lyrics by Isaac Watts)

"Mary, did you know that your baby boy Would one day walk on water? Mary, did you know that your baby boy Would save our sons and daughters? Did you know that your baby boy Has come to make you new?

This child that you delivered, will soon deliver you

Mary, did you know that your baby boy Would give sight to a blind man? Mary, did you know that your baby boy Would calm the storm with his hand?

Did you know that your baby boy Has walked where angels trod? When you kiss your little baby You kiss the face of God Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know?" (Lyrics by Mark Lowery)
