ShopMOSS: The Flair of Italy Has Come to The Village of Providence

One of my new favorite stores opened in The Village of Providence in Huntsville in August of 2025. ShopMOSS is a jewelry and apparel boutique owned and conceived by Vania Morris, who was born and reared in Italy. She and her family came to Huntsville when she was 12 because of her father's job, intending to stay for four years. She knew only a few words of English, but she was enamored with America and Huntsville in particular. Now, more than 20 years later, she has a lot that anchors her to North Alabama. Vania earned her graphic design degree here, married a husband who supports her creative efforts, and gave birth to their two beautiful sons, Ezra and Echo. The "MOSS" in her boutique's name stands for "mother of SonS," in their honor.

You'll spot Italian-inspired touches throughout her store, such as the painted floor and the statues, but mostly you will appreciate the uniquely beautiful merchandise on display. The new, pearl-embossed, signature t-shirts are very pretty.

And the custom-made clutches are showstoppers!

My favorite area is the Charm Bar, where you can personalize necklaces, bracelets, or earrings by choosing charms that reflect your own interests and preferences.

Here is the one Steve gave me for Valentine's Day. If you look closely, you can tell that it reflects my love for travel, cooking, eating, my birthstone and flower, and a few charms that I just liked.
